Yankees Get Positive Update On Luis Severino After MRI On Shoulder

New York Yankees starter Luis Severino who you would think would be the opening day starter for the Yankees was a late scratch on Tuesday’s spring training game against the Atlanta Braves due to some shoulder discomfort. Shoulder is never a good sign and what’s more concerning is he had an MRI on his shoulder/lat later in the afternoon according to manager Aaron Boone.

Divisional Round - Boston Red Sox v New York Yankees - Game Three

Overall the MRI looked pretty good but he does have some rotator cuff inflammation that will force him to be shut down but only for a few weeks according to Boone.

However, that does not mean he will be ready for the start of the regular season for sure:

Overall, a pretty positive update on Severino since he did have an MRI and it could have been much worse.

What do you think?
