After a run for five years as a fan-favorite digital series, originally by Pepsi, Uncle Drew will debut June 29, but the trailer released Wednesday gives viewers a quick look at the storyline. Lil Rel Howery, named Dax in the motion picture, attempts to win a Rucker Classic streetball tournament with the help of basketball legend Uncle Drew (Irving).
The duo rounds up Uncle Drew’s old friends, all past their primes, to form a complete team. You’ll see familiar faces such as Reggie Miller and Nate Robinson as well.
