Reese Turner is only 4 foot 4 and he lives by a simple but huge motto: “heart over height”. Reese doesn’t let his small stature stop him on the basketball court. He’s a high school basketball player turned social media sensation. Turner posts highlights from his team and uses hash tags #HeartOverHeight and #Differentbreed. A week ago he posted a video on social media of some of his highlights and it’s garnered over 100k views. Pretty impressive!
“I come in with a chip on my shoulder, but once I hit the first three they are like, ‘Whoa we better step up on this guy because he can actually shoot,’” Turner said.
But don’t think this is just social media fluff. On a recent Instagram Q&A section Reese was asked how many points per game he averages. And he averages 8 points per game. Pretty impressive if you ask us! Here’s some more photos of Reese in action. Reese is diagnosed with dwarfism but that doesn’t stop him.
This isn’t Turner’s first brush with viral fame, either. In 2015, he was chosen, as a super-fan of the nearby Stephen F. Austin University Lumberjacks, to interview then-head basketball coach Brad Underwood for ESPN.
Give Reese a follow on Instagram! This is a small kid with a huge heart.
