If you are fan of the New York Jets or their young QB Sam Darnold you are going to love this. A competitive edge seems to be following their young star. And when word came out that he refused to give Tom Brady a happy birthday wish many wondered why. Well according to Yahoo Sports Sam Darnold said:
“That’s just it, man – knowing what I’ve got to do,” Darnold said when asked about the moment this week. “I’m going to get every competitive edge I can, because he’s going to do the same thing. He’s the ultimate competitor. He’s exactly where I want to be when I’m his age. To chase that, I can’t be giving him anything.”
When #Jets Sam Darnold was recently asked to record a lighthearted “Happy Birthday” to #Patriots Tom Brady, he declined. Not out of disrespect. Quite the opposite. Darnold is here to compete with that guy. And he’s not giving anything away in his pursuit.https://t.co/cw0shs1zdU

I’m all in on the Sam Darnold train. I mean, that’s the type of stuff psycho competitors do. It’s not like a happy birthday would have done anything different. But just the mindset has to get Jets fans excited for the future of the organization.
