The time has come, the Arizona Cardinals seem to have their next head coach.

Peter Schrager of FOX Sports reports that the Cardinals are finalizing a deal with Kliff Kingsbury.

This isn’t the typical head coach hiring story though. Kingsbury took the USC offensive coordinator job last month after being fired by Texas Tech. The Cardinals had interest in Kingsbury but were concerned that USC would block the interview due to recently hiring Kingsbury.

Luckily for Kingsbury and the Cardinals, USC chose not to block the interviews and after interviewing with both the Cardinals and the New York Jets, it sounds like the deal is final for Kingsbury to be the next head coach in Arizona.

While Kingsbury coach and worked with some great QBs like Baker Mayfield, Patrick Mahomes, Johnny Manziel and Case Keenum, it didn’t work out too well on his record.

Kingsbury was 35-40 over his 6 seasons at Texas Tech.

Now it’s time to trust Kingsbury with the Cardinals future, Josh Rosen.
