Report: Giants Would Draft Darnold, If Browns Pass

The New York Giants reportedly have their eyes on USC quarterback Sam Darnold if he is still available when they pick second during the 2018 NFL draft.

Bleacher Report’s Matt Miller asked a number of executives and scouts across the league who they thought New York would select if the Cleveland Browns draft Wyoming’s Josh Allen with the first pick, and they all said Darnold would be the choice.

Darnold is the No. 1 pick for the Browns in Miller’s most recent mock draft, as he pointed out the signal-caller is “steady enough in terms of personality to handle being the new savior of Cleveland football.”
