Many people remember Lenny Wilkens the coach. Not many, realize how great of an NBA player he was. He was the 1st overall pick of the 1960 NBA Draft.

Wilkens averaged 16.5 points per game along with 4.7 rebounds and 6.7 assists while playing for St.Louis, Seattle, Portland and Cleveland. He was even a player coach at times.

Wilkens was the NBA’s All-Star game MVP in 1971 and played in 9 All-Star games. After retiring from playing he coached The Seattle Supersonics to their only NBA Championship title in 1979.
