Where do we start? Magic Johnson averaged 19.5 points per game, 11.2 assists and 7.2 rebounds. But that’s just the start. Magic led the Lakers to 9 NBA final appearances in his 13 year career and they won 5 of them.

Magic didn’t win the Rookie of the Year trophy (getting edged out by Larry Bird), but he did win an NBA championship in his rookie season. Magic finished his storied career with three MVP trophies, three Final MVP trophies and until today is the only player in NBA history to win a finals MVP as a rookie.

Arguably not only is Magic Johnson on the Lakers Mount Rushmore, but he’s also on the NBA’s Mount Rushmore as one of the 4 greatest players of all time.
