Steve Nash was a lottery pick of Phoenix in the 1996 NBA Draft, but it wasn’t until he returned to the team after a six-year stint with the Mavericks that he really made himself as an all-time great Sun. Nash led the Seven Seconds or Less Suns in assembling some of the most efficient offenses in league history.
Those teams helped change how the game is played, ushering in the modern era. Over that second , eight-year stint with Phoenix, Nash averaged 16.3 points and 10.9 assists per game, leading the league in assists five different times and taking home two MVP Awards.
The Suns never made the NBA Finals during the Nash era but they were one of the most exciting teams of our generation.
