The story that inspired many during the college football season last year of Tyler Trent should not never be forgotten due to how inspirational the young man was. The Purdue super fan was a huge fan that attended many of the Boilermakers’ football games despite being diagnosed with terminal cancer He even captained the team in his final months of life. The young man captivated the heart of the nation that learned his story and was a rallying cry for the Purdue football team. And now rightfully, he will be remembered forever. Because Purdue University is renaming the student gate at Ross-Ade Stadium to honor Tyler.

Unfortunately, Tyler passed away on January 1, 2019 from Osteosarcoma at the age of 20. Although he passed away way too soon, his legacy will forever live on.
