The New England Patriots placed an original-round tender on suspended restricted free agent wide receiver Josh Gordon on Tuesday. The troubled, yet talented receiver, is in the middle of a suspension for violating NFL drug policies once again.
Patriots have to carry Gordon ($2.025m) and Jones ($3.095m) on their salary cap, even though they haven’t signed. Add in Michael Bennett $7.2m), and Patriots have about $12.5m in cap space. They will be bargain hunting over the next few weeks

Gordon has been serving an indefinite suspension since December after violating the NFL’s substance-abuse policy.
Gordon is young at only 27-years-old, and extremely talent, but this is already his sixth suspension in the NFL. Five of which are due to substance-abuse.
Josh Gordon got this news of being tendered by the Patriots and posted on Instagram and Twitter thanking them.
