After a pretty mild NBA All-Star weekend, we finally got an interesting snippet from Sunday’s game. Houston Rockets MVP, James Harden, might not be as happy as we might have thought he was. We can thank Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry for leaking this information.
Curry was mic’d up while telling Bucks head coach Mike Budenholzer before the game that he talked to Harden about his streak and it turned out he wasn’t loving this offense as much as we might have thought he did.
“I talked to James in the back and obviously complemented him on what he’s done. The first thing he says is, ‘it’s fun, but I want to play different. Playing by myself or whatever, hero ball — the people want him to play like that, play in a system where they actually can play beautiful basketball with guys that know how to play.”
This is interesting given the fact that Kobe Bryant just came out as well and made statements saying Harden and the Rockets can’t win a championship playing the way they do right now…
