The world we live in is an odd place. Every single day it becomes more and more odd. Today we found another story that will make you question what is wrong with people… An LAPD Detective Was Charged With 75 Counts For Secretly Recording Men In The Bathroom At Angels Stadium. Yes, 75 counts. And yes, we trust these people to protect us yet these things happen…
“The Anaheim City Attorney’s Office said Friday it filed 37 misdemeanor counts of peeping with intent to invade privacy and 37 counts secretly videotaping in a restroom against Ryan Caplette, 42. He was also charged with a single count of loitering. Anaheim Police said a search warrant was obtained for a video recording device and the images of 37 men were recorded in Anaheim. The LA Police Protective League, the officers’ union, said the allegations were, if true, deeply disgusting. “Police officers are entrusted to protect the public, not exploit them. There is no room in law enforcement for anyone who violates that trust.”
Yeah this is just weird and disgusting, let’s first of all get this guy off our streets. We don’t need him… Secondly, I hope he gets that badge ripped right off. Good luck finding a new job with THIS on your record.
We are on day 6 of Kawhi Watch. Kawhi Leonard is is making a free agency decision that could affect the NBA landscape. Leonard is choosing between what seems like between The Toronto Raptors and Los Angeles Lakers with The Los Angeles Clippers looming as threats as well. Cris Carter who seems to be the only media person tied to Kawhi has given an update on when Kawhi would be making a decision.
One thing we did find interesting here is that Kawhi will be looking for a long term contract and not looking for what many believe would be a 1 year deal with a player option for year two. Looks like we are on to day 3 of Kawhi watch.
An absolute sad story this 4th of July. Miami Dolphins have announced that DT Kendrick Norton was involved in a serious car accident. An initial diagnosis of his injuries were not life threatening but it seems it will be the end of his football career. As his arm was amputated at the scene to save his life.
Authorities detailed that the multi-car accident featured Norton’s vehicle rolling over and paramedics had to improvise and amputate his left arm at the scene, Miami on-air personality Andy Slater reports.
The Panthers drafted Kendrick in the seventh round in 2018, but proceeded to cut him during training camp. He joined Miami for the last two games of the 2018 season after claiming him off of Carolina’s practice squad.
Earlier this morning Ezekiel Elliot met with the commissioner about his incident i
n Las Vegas where he pushed a security guard (barely). The push itself wasn’t really that bad and the security guard took a soccer-like dive. But, the video itself was weird because Ezekiel was walking around in what seemed like a drunk daze and was just weird. So after the meeting with the commissioner he put out this statement about the incident where he promised for the 100th time that this time things will be different:
Does Zeke look like a guy we should trust not to make bad choices again?
I can’t trust the guy anymore. Never liked his decision making. But at the end of the day Elliot is one of the best running backs in all of football and his talent is out of this world. If he can just keep out of trouble he could be one of the best running backs in history of the game. But the big question is IF. Word is there won’t be any further punishment at this time. But man Zeke is on thin ice.
Today is a special day in the history of New York Yankees baseball. Remeber this name from now Jasson Dominguez he’s 16 years old and The Yankees are about to sign him today. His nickname is El Marciano, which translates to The Martian.
Here’s some of the best tidbits from The Jeff Passan article:
In the tight-knit world of baseball in the Dominican Republic, the legend of the kid spread quickly. He was a switch-hitter with world-class speed, an arm nobody would challenge and the body of a man. Someone called him El Marciano, and the nickname stuck. The Martian, it meant. Because there was no way he was from this world.
Well anytime someone is compared to an alien that’s good news.
One general manger who has seen him said, “he’s like [Mike] Trout. And Trout wasn’t close to this good when he was 16.”
Mike Trout is the closest thing to an Alien in baseball and he’s better at 16?! Whoa.
Dominguez has distinguished himself on raw numbers. He regularly reaches upward of 110 mph exit velocities swinging from both sides of the plate. Only 28 major leaguers have hit a ball 110 mph at least 10 times this season. Dominguez, two scouts said, has clocked around 6.3 seconds in the 60-yard dash. That’s faster than Mo Hampton, arguably the best athlete in the MLB draft class of 2019 who decided instead to play cornerback at LSU this year.
He’s faster than LSU CORNERBACKS.
“But,” an international scouting director who tried and failed to sign Dominguez said, “it’s like Mickey Mantle. He’s not 6-foot. He’s a switch-hitter. He’s got crazy power. He’s fast as s—. He loves playing.”
And let’s throw out a Mickey Mantle comparison while we are here too. This guy seems legit. At 16, he’s probably years away from playing in the Majors. But if you are a New York Yankees fan today. Your future got even brighter.
This could be one of the worst days in New York Knicks history. The summer from hell began with not getting the first overall pick in the NBA draft. But it was ok there was the dream of getting Kyrie and KD. And then yesterday, there was the rumors that Kawhi Leonard and Kevin Durant could join the Knicks. Then today, A Woj BOMB dropped and sent the MSG faithful into a free fall:
Yup, the other side of the bridge. The Brooklyn Nets changing the landscape of basketball was tough to swallow for New York Knick fans.
But then word came out that The Knicks weren’t even willing to sign KD to a full max deal because of his Achilles injury.
Things could not be going worse for The New York Knicks but the positive news at least this guy is your owner:
Yeah, things couldn’t be going worse.
Well now it’s official. Brooklyn has over taken The Knicks officially in New York. According to ESPN.com’s Adrian Wojnarowski Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving and DeAndre Jordan are all headed to Brooklyn to play
According to Wojnarowski both players will sign four year deals:
Durant who will miss all of next season due to an Achilles tear will be joining his third team of his career. Does teaming up with Kyrie make Brooklyn title contenders in two seasons? Probably. But if you are a New York Knick fan, this just marks one of the most disappointing off-seasons in team history.
Are You Mad? New York Streets Have A Solution To Your Frustrations
New York can be a tough place. While I love the Big Apple, I do know its a busy place, that sometimes has rough weather, smelly trash bags, and demanding work schedule. Well, someone has found a solution to getting your frustration out while talking a stroll on any given day; punching bags on the sidewalks.
The initiative by the Savannah, Georgia-based design collective
was introduced as a contribution to NYCxDESIGN—or New York City Design Week 2019—as a means to allow locals and visitors alike to “release their frustrations, whatever they may be, in a safe, communal space.” donttakethisthewrongway
For all you New York Knicks fan that were waiting to get Zion Williamson, you can walk around and let your anger out on these, forget punching other people. Maybe we can get some more relaxed humans on the streets of New York.
BREAKING: Kawhi Leonard Is Suing Nike Over His “Klaw” Logo Rights
Kawhi Leonard is in the midst of the biggest moments of his NBA career going for his 2nd NBA title. Leonard is trying to bring the Toronto Raptors and Canada their first ever NBA Championship, and in the meantime is also suing Nike. Seems to be a weird time to do so, but it’s being done. Accordingly to Kawhi and the lawsuit, he had sketched the logo himself “K” and “L” back in 2011 on a piece of paper:
“Leonard traced his notably large hand, and, inside the hand, drew stylized versions of his initials, “KL,” and the number that he had worn for much of his career, “2,” the lawsuit states.
After Kawhi signed a deal with Nike in 2011, they apparently filed for a copyright of the logo “without Leonard’s knowledge or consent.” Kawhi wants his rights back so he could use it on his own gear now as well.
Andre Iguodala Plays Basketball For Steph Now Because ‘A Motherf*cker Will Replace You And Nothing Matters’
Man, I don’t know what Steph Curry says, does, or how he acts with his teammates but shoot the guy must be the world’s best teammate. Listen to this quote on what motivates Andrew Iguodala to continue to play basketball.
A part which was not on the video but The Athletic broke down was about how replaceable you are as an athlete and as a player.
[The Athletic] – Then Iguodala broke it down. “See, here’s how it works. One day, you’re replaced. Then it’s some other motherfucker in there. And then there’s another motherfucker. And another after that. Nobody remembers anything. None of it matters!”
When asked what motivates him to keep going through the pain, Iguodala offered another reason for his perseverance: “I like Steph,” he said. “He’s a good dude, good guy to be around. That’s really the only reason why I like playing basketball. That’s the only reason why I play.”
This is something out of a movie. It seems like Steph is one likable dude, and I agree with completely with Iggy that he doesn’t quite get the respect he deserves. I have never in my life seen someone get so much slander as Steph Curry. People disrespect him everyday on the media and when you talk to fans, 90% of them don’t quite get how good Steph really is. So I’m with Iggy, I’m only rooting for The Warriors cause Steph is a good dude.
Well if you thought we would have to wait a while to find out where Kevin Durant will sign think again. Tonight, on
The Board Room’s Instagram Page/ KD will announce where he will be signing. Many believe the choice comes down to resigning in Golden State, heading to either Brooklyn or New York or a long shot The Clippers.
The decision looms big for The NBA landscape as Kevin Durant will miss all of next season with an Achilles injury but still is one of the most coveted free agents in NBA history.
