Jets Land C.J. Mosley From Ravens With Massive Five-Year Deal

The New York Jets were expected to be big time free agency players is offseason, and they have not disappointed so far. This morning the Jets signed linebacker C.J Mosley from the Baltimore Ravens to a massive five-year, $85 million deal with $51 million guaranteed.

That is an annual average value of $17 million per year, the most money committed to an inside linebacker in the NFL.

This is now the third player in two days to get a record-breaking contract. Lineman Trent Brown with the Oakland Raiders, and safety Landon Collins with the Washington Redskins also got the largest deals ever at their positions.

Mosley spent his first five seasons with the Ravens and made four Pro Bowls. He was the leader of the Baltimore defense and was second-team All Pro four times. Mosley had 100 tackles in every season except 2016, when he missed two games. He has nine interceptions and five fumble recoveries in his career.
