What is an NFL season without Colin Kaepernick drama 3 years later? The NFL really is going to hate this publicity.
It was announced a few months ago that Maroon 5 would hit the stage come February 3rd for the Super Bowl 53 halftime show in Atlanta. This caused a huge stir in the hip-hop culture because it wasn’t an Atlanta based artist. On top of that, it turns out many artists turned down the request to play the halftime show to protest for Colin Kaepernick not being in the NFL…
That was ended on Thursday when it was announced that Travis Scott will perform in Mercedes Benz stadium as part of dual performance.
Now, a powerful and legendary rapper is hoping to change Scott’s mind and get him to back out, according to Variety.
Jay-Z is said to be the man behind trying to get Travis Scott to not play the halftime show with Maroon 5.
Jay-Z believes there was unfair treatment of former San Fransisco 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick, and wants artists to boycott the NFL and the Super Bowl.
While even more rappers are being considered for the spectacle in Atlanta on February 3, 2019, Scott appears to be the only confirmed act besides Maroon 5.
Meek Mill decided to chime in as well…
