These are the moments I love the most in sports. First time EVER hitting a home run in the big leagues, and of course, your parents are being interview on live television. For Isan Diaz, it was his dad specifically that went wild, yelling at the top of his lungs.
Source (For The Win) – During Monday’s game between the Miami Marlins and New York Mets, Diaz stepped to the plate to face Jacob deGrom in the sixth inning — just as his parents were being interviewed for the Marlins broadcast.
But before Diaz’s parents could fully answer a question, the Marlins’ No. 5 prospect pulled a fastball deep over the right-field wall for his first career hit (and home run). His parents’ reaction was priceless.
What’s better than seeing your sons first major league homer? Being interviewed during it AND your son hitting it off Jacob DeGrom ??

This is just sports gold. A big moment for the young prospect, and on top of that we get to see true family love seeing their son succeed. I love these moments. Diaz is only 23 years old, so I am sure the family is going to get more and more of this throughout his career. Best of luck to Isan and the Miami Marlins!

Isan Diaz’s first career HR landed in the Mets bullpen. I’m told they handed it over to the Marlins pen. Diaz will own his first career HR baseball.
