Breaking: John Calipari Agrees to Lifetime Contract With Kentucky

Earlier today there were rumblings in the basketball world that UCLA had interest in hiring Kentucky head coach John Calipari and that Kentucky upon knowing of that interested decided to offer Calipari a lifetime contract. And now according to reporter Jeff Goodman, Calipari has taken that lifetime offer and has signed a new contract with iconic Kentucky program.

Interesting note by Goodman that the only way Calipari could ever leave is an NBA job which you can never rule out.

Coach Cal is currently on the books for $9.2 annually under his most recent agreement with Kentucky. UCLA reportedly offered him a six-year deal worth $48 million, so it’s not hard to see why the man ultimately chose to remain in Lexington.
