Last name the NBA world turned upside down as
Kawhi Leonard signed with The Clippers and Paul George was traded to The Clippers.
Now reports are The Toronto Raptors had a chance to keep Kawhi and team him up with Paul George and Russell Westbrook in Toronto.
[ESPN] – Had Presti been able to strike a deal for George with the Raptors — and Leonard was willing to stay — George was believed to be willing to join the Raptors too, sources said. Presti pursued a package of Russell Westbrookwith George to the Raptors — with the NBA’s Most Improved Player, forward Pascal Siakam as the centerpiece of a deal — and Ujiri balked, league sources said. Ujiri had delivered Leonard everything that he wanted in a franchise: Leadership and trust, championship talent and a medical partnership that preserved and prepared his body. What Ujiri couldn’t give Leonard was out of his control: Geography, weather, and a chance to return to his Southern California roots.
Ok I get it. The Raptors GM Uijiri loves Pascal Siakam. He’s great and he won most improved player. This is Pascal Siakam:
Is that enough to pass on keeping Kawhi and teaming him up with Paul George and Russell Westbrook? No.
Kawhi Leonard finally makes his free agency decision at 11pm on a Friday night… Of course. To make things even more wild, he got the Clippers to trade for his running mate, Paul George, by sending a record number of draft picks and two key players.
What is more interesting to me is what happened to Paul George and Russell Westbrook? Last summer, the entire NBA world believed Paul George was on his way to some Los Angeles team, shockingly, he decided to stay with Russell Westbrook and the Oklahoma City Thunder… 5 years, and ready to commit. After one season it turns out a call from Kawhi Leonard had him demanding a trade from the Thunder. Here is what went down:
What I am really wondering is – How much does it suck to play with Russell Westbrook?
Alex Morgan scored a goal on her 30th birthday yesterday and I am pretty sure everyone in the United States who is reading this has saw her celebration but in case you live under a rock here you go.
So yeah, seems simple. Alex Morgan scores a goal in The World Cup SEMI FINALS against England on her 30th birthday and decided to take a little shot at England and sip tea. Well, if we have learned anything over the years is that England and The Brits are sensitive about tea (Boston Tea Party) anyone? Of course they complained and called this “distasteful”.

In case anyone was wondering if we are regretting our decision from 1776 to go Independent from Great Britain. We’re not. Keep whining about celebrations mocking your precious tea Lianne. We beat you in the revolutionary war and now we beat you at your own precious soccer game. So let’s drink to that.
