One of the greats ‘Mixed Martial Arts’ fighters of all-time, Conor McGregor has officially announced his retirement from MMA and the UFC. McGregor has had one of the most divisive and controversial careers in the sport.
Conor McGregor, the controversial former UFC featherweight and lightweight champion, tweeted late Monday night that he has decided to retire from MMA. It’s possible McGregor wasn’t being serious, as you never really know with him.
Hey guys quick announcement, I’ve decided to retire from the sport formally known as “Mixed Martial Art” today.
I wish all my old colleagues well going forward in competition.
I now join my former partners on this venture, already in retirement.
Proper Pina Coladas on me fellas!

Many believe that he could be trying to get the upper-hand in contract negotiations… You know what they say? More money, more problems.
