Blake Snell went on a rant on Twitch saying he would not take a cut to play this season.
Blake Snell makes no sense.MANY MLB players don’t. It’s his right to be afraid to of catching the virus. But he’s basically saying he’d do it for $10 mil and not $5 mil. In this country, it’s a bad look. Plus he’s very low risk. Definition of greedy

And now Bryce Harper has echoed that sentiment.
Blake Snell said: “For me to take a pay cut is not happening, because the risk is through the roof”
Bryce Harper reacts tonight ??
“He ain't lying, he's speaking the truth bro. I ain't mad at him”https://t.co/4SLH3Zf4NR

33m+ people no longer have jobs, and Blake Snell and Bryce Harper of MLB go out and say they won't play for half of their pay – when people need sports right now more than ever. Unbelievable. BTW, $300M+ contract signed by Harper. $50M by Snell. MLB remains broken.

Here’s the thing, I wonder why the NBA gets the bad rap for players being greedy and out of touch. Baseball players make a lot more and honestly if the players don’t play they are just hurting themselves. Look, not playing for half the salary is only going to directly result in less money down the line and getting smaller contracts. So shoot yourselves in the foot, be my guest. But do you really want to be remembered as the players that wouldn’t play during a global pandemic because instead of $6 mil you would have made $3? I wouldn’t.
