The MLB And Players Agreement Makes It Sound Like There Won’t Be A Baseball Season

So the MLB and MLBPA have reached agreements on plans for service time and salary other things that would need to be ironed out in case there is no baseball this season. They came up with a plan that gives a full year of service time for MLB players.

But the news makes it sounds like the MLB is bracing for a season which won’t happen. The announcement sounds like the league won’t play until mass gatherings are lifted which could be a while. And Passan reported they are considering playing in front of no fans but it sounds like they don’t want to resume until they can 100% which means they need to get this done sooner rather than later to actually start the season. So we’ll see if a season happens but it sure sounds like they are bracing for it to not happen.
