Yankees starter Domingo German will miss the first 63 games of the 2020 season as part of his suspension for a domestic incident last year, a source confirms to ESPN. On top of the 18 games served, it’s one of the most significant suspensions for domestic violence MLB has levied.

A punishment has finally come down for German. He’s already served 18 games last season for the incident so with this it would totally half a season which is easily one of the biggest penalties served for domestic violence in sports history. It’s an interesting story because no files were charged. Rumors have it that he had slapped his girlfriend. But we don’t know the full story. I agree with the large punishment. At the end of the day there is no room for domestic violence in baseball or anywhere in the world for that matter. Hopefully, Domingo learns from this and comes back a better man.
