There are some things you probably should not do in sports. Guarantee wins over The New England Patriots, call out Michael Jordan in the past, and probably guaranteeing wins against Alabama would be high on the list of things not to do. But LSU WR Justin Jefferson must have not got the memo to give Nick Saban bulletin board material:
SOURCE-LSU wide receiver Justin Jefferson was asked an innocent question about the Red Elephant in the room after the then-No. 2 Tigers defeated No. 10 Auburn, 23-20, Saturday at Tiger Stadium.
“I don’t know,” he said and then he went on to say, ‘We’re going to, we’re going to, uh, we’re going to dominate. I mean, there’s nothing much to it. I mean, we owe them. So, we’re going to get to it.”
The guy doesn’t even sound confident in saying this. He could have stopped there. It sounded innocent and maybe Nick Saban would have spared him. But Justin had to keep on going:
“We’re going to come for their heads. I mean, we’re going to do what we need to do.”
Oh no. This is Justin Jefferson:
His picture will probably be hanging all over The Alabama locker room until November 9th when #1 LSU faces off against #2 Alabama. No need to give them bulletin board material. I hate to say it, but I have now officially switched my pick from LSU beating ‘Bama to Alabama winning by 50. Roll Tide.
