Brain Twisting Riddles To Get Us Through The Sports Dead Period

Here we are on June 21st and the sports calendar has really taken a turn to basically the slowest time of the year. Unless your baseball team is in a pennant race (if you are a Seattle Mariner’s fan like I am we are not), or if you like soccer (I do), we don’t have much going on. So what did we do today? We went online and tried solving riddles and made one of our own. Plus some fun sports trivia questions to pass the slow sports season. Here are some of 20 of our favorite ones:

1. Question Number 1

Question: Well, obviously the picture above is the question. But basically we have a bunch of balls (and our logo) and each ball represents something.

What is the answer….

Answer: 15.

To solve the problem, you must first apply the rule of BODMAS, which dictates that multiplying is worked out before division.

Brackets first

Orders (i.e. Powers and Square Roots, etc.)

Division and Multiplication (left-to-right)

Addition and Subtraction (left-to-right)

Eagle-eyed observers will also have noticed that there is only one portions of fries in the bottom line of the maths problem.

The answer:

Multiplication comes before addition, so you have to multiply one baseball by one Sports on Tap logo and then add that to one basketball. Thus, 5 + (1×10) = 15.
