Hearing Impaired 12 Year Old Wows With National Anthem On Violin

Today Major League Baseball honored breaking the color barrier 72 years ago by Jackie Robinson. All around baseball players wore the famous number 42 that Jackie wore on The Dodgers. And The Chicago White Sox brought out an aspiring young baseball player and it was amazing. Lance Moon who is 12 and is a 6th grader lives in the city’s Roseland neighborhood and plays on the White Sox Charities supported ACE travel team which is designed to promote youth baseball participation for African-American kids.

Afterwards Lance said:

“I’ve never performed in front of thousands of people like that,” he said.

Lance is also hearing impaired and wears hearing aids in both ears which he has only used as motivation to play an instrument and sports.

“What would I would say to kids who want to achieve things it doesn’t really matter what you’re not capable,” he said. “I have hearing aids but it doesn’t stop me.”

Just an amazing story and honestly the best National Anthem we’ve heard this year in The MLB.
