Reaction To Elton Brand As New GM Of Philadelphia 76ers

Tuesday was a big day for the Philadelphia 76ers and former 76er Elton Brand, who is now officially the general manager of the Sixers.

Brand, 39, had been recently promoted to executive vice president of basketball operations, after serving the past year as GM of the Sixers’ G League affiliate in Delaware.

While Brand has a great opportunity with this young roster, there is also not the best track record of players turned GM… So this is going to be an interesting transitions for Brand.

Brand was the No. 1 overall pick by the Chicago Bulls in the 1999 NBA draft out of Duke, making two All-Star appearances in 16 seasons.
